Transition

Below are the typical transitions that your child will experience during their school career at Primary. We hope that you will find this useful.

Mrs Ody is the Lead Transition Co-ordinator and works closely with Class Teachers , the Inclusion Manager, Sackville School and Imberhorne School to ensure that all children are supported.

Internal

Transition in school will be :

From year to year within a Key Stage

From EYFS to Key Stage 1

From Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2

External

Transition will be from Year 6 to Secondary School.

Other

In addition to the above, Mrs Ody arranges the Year 5 Taster Day to Sackville School and Transition Plus visits where needed for both Secondary schools.

When your child reaches Year 6, Mrs Ody may also be contacted for support regarding applications for Secondary School.
