TEACHING ASSISTANT

 

Pay scale:                         Grade 03

 

Salary scale:                     £8012 (Approx.) Term time only

 

The Governors and Headteacher wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with pupils across the school, KS1 and KS2. The ideal candidate would take up post as soon as possible.

 

This is a permanent post.

Contract: Part time, term time only.

Hours: 09:00 – 15:00

16.5 hours a week, plus a half hour unpaid lunch break.

Days: 3 days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Pay grade: Grade 3

Days: 5 days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

The ideal candidate would take up post on 1st July 2026 or as soon as possible.

 

This is a permanent post.

Contract: Part time, term time only.

Hours: 08:50 – 15:20

30 hours a week, plus a half hour unpaid lunch break.

Days: 5 days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

School Business Manager

 

Salary: Grade 9, £35235-£37938 (pro rata)

Hours: 25 hours per week

Contract type: Part time, permanent (this is not term time only)

The Meads Primary School are seeking a motivated and highly skilled School Business Manager to join our senior leadership team from September 2026 and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of our school. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking professional.

 

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A positive and effective communicator, confident in liaising with colleagues, children, parents, governors and outside agencies.
  • Experienced in budgeting and financial accounting
  • Experienced in 3-year budget forecasting
  • Experience in financial planning, account reconciliation and budget monitoring.
  • Experience managing staff and applying HR procedures with professionalism and sensitivity. 
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve and prioritise effectively.
  • Skilled at using ICT software, including microsoft office and excel. Ideally, knowledge of Bromcom and Bromcom Finance.
  • Adaptable, innovative, personable and committed to ongoing professional development. 
  • Strong analytical, organisational and administrative skills.
  • Able to provide a clear, enhanced DBS (which will be applied for if successful)


The areas of responsibility include:

  • Finance 
  • Lead on financial planning, monitoring, reconciliation and reporting. 
  • Produce financial returns and ensure compliance with local authority and regulatory requirements. 
  • Oversee the school budget, ensuring robust financial controls and value for money. 
  • Human Resources.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding and staffing processes in line with LA HR policies. 
  • Maintain and oversee the Single Central Record. 
  • Provide guidance on HR matters, supporting leaders to apply policy and legal updates. 
  • Line-manage a team of office and site staff. 
  • Facilities & ICT 
  • Oversee facilities management to ensure a safe, compliant and well-maintained school environment.  
  • Oversee the operational management of ICT systems and infrastructure. 
  • Procurement & Contract Management.
  • Lead on procurement, including negotiating and monitoring contracts against KPIs. 
  • Manage lettings in line with policy, ensuring agreements, safety checks and income processes are completed. 
  • Statutory data returns including workforce census.
