I hope my letter finds all of our families well during these difficult times. I would firstly like to thank our families for their continued support of the school after the difficult decision the school has had to make over the weekend.
The teachers and I have met this morning to discuss home learning and as a school we know that the children will benefit greatly from the opportunity to interact with their teachers during the temporary school closure. Therefore each morning, the class teacher will hold a 15 minute session with their classes which will start tomorrow, Tuesday 1st December. This will be a chance for the children to chat with their teacher and ask any questions they may have.
The meetings will be made available via Google Classroom for Years 1 to 6 and on Zoom for Reception. The link for Zoom will be made available on Tapestry for Reception, while Years 1 to 6 ill need to log into Google Classroom and click on the link for Google Meet at the time given below.
For safeguarding reasons, the cameras for both children and staff will need to be turned off while the children are in their session and a member of SLT will also be present to monitor the session.
These sessions will be held at the same time each day as follows:
For this to be successful, please can I ask families to ensure that they have signed up for Google Classroom. Teachers will also be allocating work to the children each day via this platform as well as providing feedback.
If you have any questions about the home learning, please contact class teachers either through Google Classroom or via the year group email addresses as follows:
