I am writing to inform you that as from Monday 24th January, the classes will no longer be in bubbles and we will revert to the arrangements we had in place for the autumn term. The bubble system was not something we wanted to put back in place, but it has had the desired effect of limiting the spread of Covid-19 across the school. The children will now return to eating their lunch in the hall, as well as having shared playtimes across year groups. Please can I thank our families for their support and understanding of the measures put in place since the Christmas break.
If, in a class, there is an outbreak of Covid-19 (10% of the class), the class will be required to form its own bubble. This will be implemented on advice from the Local Authority and the local infection control team as part of the school's mitigations. The children will eat lunch in their own classroom, have separate breaks, and will not be allowed to attend clubs (unless it is the school’s breakfast and/or after school club, as there are mitigations put in place for the pupils to continue to attend). If a class reaches the criterion for a bubble, we will immediately communicate with parents/carers of that class.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about this.
