Curriculum Intent

At The Meads Primary School, the children receive a broad and balanced curriculum that develops the skills and attributes our learners will need in the 21st Century. At the heart of our intent are our core values of ‘Challenge, Resilience, Ambition and Community’.

Our curriculum is ambitious and purposeful with clear progression that deepens subject knowledge, skills and understanding. It incorporates physical development, wellbeing and promotes positive attitudes towards learning.

The curriculum celebrates diversity, builds a sense of community and enables children to understand the world beyond their immediate environment. Where appropriate the children are provided with optimum first hand experiences to enhance their learning. We will support our pupils to become critical thinkers who are ambitious for their own futures.
