Autumn 1 'All About Me'

Harvest/Autumn welly walk- 5th October 2020

Robins and Dormice went on a welly walk around the school grounds to look for signs of Autumn and inspiration for writing their Harvest poem. The children used their senses to smell, see, hear and touch outside.  The children wrote a Harvest class poem after their walk which is available to listen to on the school website.

Bread investigation- 13th October 2020

Robins and Dormice took part in a bread investigation. The children used their senses to explain what the bread tasted, smelt and felt like. Later in the week we baked some bread rolls too. The children all had a turn at mixing the ingredients, kneading the dough and rolling it out on a floured surface. We hope your children enjoyed eating their bread roll at home.

Nursery Rhyme Challenge- 14th October 2020

Robins and Dormice took part in a Rhyme Challenge this half term. The children worked really hard to learn 10 songs and actions. The children came into school dressed as their favourite character. Robins and Dormice performed their Rhyme Challenge in the hall and they were all amazing! A huge well done to all the children for taking part. Please see some photos from the day below.
